As a ceramist, I found that a light colored or white background makes for a clean looking bench, but it made seeing incisal edges and contouring of porcelain crowns difficult for me to see. Sure, I could put my fingers behind the crowns while grinding, but sometimes the cutting disc would slip, cutting into my finger. That's why I came up with the idea of Blackground. |
